In January 2020 a total of 113,615 properties were sold, (55.8%) more than the same month of the previous year. Istanbul had the highest share with 21,251 house sales and a share of 18.7%. According to sales figures Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 11,989 house sales and a 10.6% share, İzmir with 7,212 house sales and 6.3% share.
The provinces with low housing sales were Hakkari with 7 houses, Ardahan with 11 houses and Bayburt with 38 houses, respectively.
